Introduction:
This book is a collection of research and articles from 25 Muslim and non-Muslim scholars who have delved into the scientific contributions and writings of Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq. In this compilation, Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq’s exploration of various fields of knowledge and scientific insights is highlighted.
Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq lived at an significant time when the Umayyad rulers were becoming less powerful, and the Abbasid rulers were gaining strength. These rulers wanted people to support them, so they showed they cared about the family of the Prophet and behaved ethically.
Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir started a school in Madinah, which later became a big university when Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq was around. This university was like a big place of learning where more than 4,000 students from different parts of the Islamic world came to learn many things. It was like they wanted to know about different subjects. The vastness of Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq’s knowledge and the educational standards of this Madinah University are exemplified by figures like Jabir Bin Hayan, who learned the science of chemistry from Imam Jaffar Al-Sadiq and left an indelible mark on the world of science.
This book is all about what Imam Al-Sadiq taught and talked about. It’s like his conversations about science and his ideas. This book is one of the best ones about this topic. It’s really special and might be the best of its kind.
Reviews of the book: “The Superman in Islam (Imam Jaffar al-Sadiq a.s)”:
There is a review of Zabih Allah Mansuri (Farsi Murtajim Az France) on the book of Imam Jaffar al-Sadiq “The Superman In Islam” which states:
“I am a Shia follower and a Muslim, but I never knew why the Shia sect is referred to as ‘Jaffery.’ I had no knowledge about Imam Jaffar (AS) and what he said about his own life and the actions he undertook. Are we not the followers of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib? Isn’t it appropriate to give the Shia sect the title of ‘Hussaini’ considering the sacrifice and devotion of Imam Hussain (a)? I found answers to all these questions when I came across a magazine from the Islamic Studies Centre, The Superman in Islam that discussed about the knowledge of Imam Jaffar. Reading this pamphlet enlightened me about why Imam Jaffar holds such a distinguished position among the Imams and why the Shia sect is associated with his name.”

“Views on a Book: “The Superman in Islam: A book on Imam Jaffar al-Sadiq (a)“
Some claim that the information in this book may not be accurate and may be false. I think that Imam has a lot of knowledge of everything, and if there’s something not right, we can just ignore that part instead of rejecting the whole book. I feel like these people might not want to support the teachings of both Islam and science. Anyway, if you’re interested in science you should definetely read that book.It will make it easier for you to comprehend the Imam’s scientific teachings. I personally didn’t come across anything that is contrary to our principles or anything of the such.
Is the book “The Superman in Islam” authentic or not?
Now, some people say that this book might not be authentic. They point out that many of the authors aren’t Muslim, and they question whether the scholars’ names are real or made up. They advise not to mix false information with the Imam’s teachings and not to consider the book as authentic. Let’s accept all these points for a moment.
