Hope you’re having a great day! Here’s today’s Quranic verse for you:

“My mercy encompasses all things” [Quran 7:156]

When all hope seems lost, when injustice and evil prevails, remember this beautiful verse on Allah’s Mercy. Allah is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, and he Sees things we might not be able to see with our naked eyes and limited use of intellectual faculty. In other words, we might not know the wisdom or hikmah behind all the things that have happened to us, so this verse will reassure us that whatever happens is the Divine Decree of Allah the Most Merciful.

How Many Planets Exist?: Exploring from Quranic Insights

Introduction:

How Many Planets Exist?: Exploring from Quranic Insights.

Have you ever wondered why some people try to find evidence of planets mentioned in the Quran? Well, it’s all about gaining knowledge! When we see that what’s written in the Quran aligns with scientific discoveries today, it strengthens our beliefs. Plus, sharing this knowledge with non-Muslims can spark their interest and curiosity about Islam. Some people might argue that the Quran doesn’t specifically mentioned the planet’s existence. Obviously only Allah truly knows the real truth and real answer. But since we’re humans and we have thinking ability, let’s go ahead and talk about “How Many Planets Exist?: Exploring from Quranic Insights”

“Worlds” in the Quran:

Let’s begin by looking at the first chapter of the Quran. It starts with these words:

“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.”

Wait a minute, did it say “worlds,” not just “world”? Yes, indeed! There’s the physical world, the spiritual world, and even the world of tiny creatures like bacteria. So, the term “worlds” here has a broader meaning.

Multiple Earths in the Quran:

But did you know that the Quran also suggests the existence of multiple earths? In Quran 65:12, it says: “It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them.”

This makes us wonder: Could there be other planets similar to our Earth?

Exploring Beyond Our Solar System:

While we don’t expect to find another Earth in our own solar system, scientists believe there might be many Earth-like planets beyond our solar system, scattered throughout our galaxy. They estimate that around 50 billion stars in the Milky Way, including the sun, have planets orbiting them. The idea is that these stars have planets like companions. For instance, the Bernard Star is thought to have at least one such companion.

Recent scientific discussions even suggest that Earth-like planets could be quite common. An article in the Toronto Star mentioned that “Earths may be a dime a dozen out there.”

Some Scientific Talks:

Now, you might be wondering, “How do scientists even detect these far-off planets?” Great question! Sometimes, planets play a cosmic game of tug-of-war with their parent stars. As a planet orbits, it tugs at the star, causing it to wobble ever so slightly. This wobble is like a secret handshake that scientists can detect using special tools.

And that’s not all – planets can even cause their stars to wink. When a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint on Earth, it creates a tiny dip in the star’s light. It’s like the planet saying, “Hey, I’m here!” These winks are like cosmic Morse code, revealing the presence of planets. Now, for the big reveal – these planets beyond our solar system are called exoplanets. And scientists have discovered thousands of them! Some are big like Jupiter, while others might be more similar to Earth. Imagine a whole universe filled with planets of all shapes and sizes, just waiting to be explored. Anyways lets continue to our topic!

The Symbolism of “Seven”:

Interestingly, the Quran also mentions the number 7 to symbolize the existence of many heavens. For example, in Quran 2:29, it says:

“He made them seven heavens.” This symbolic number 7 aligns with modern astrophysics, as experts have observed numerous galactic systems and heavens.

How we believe it? “How Many Planets Exist?: Exploring from Quranic Insights”

It’s intriguing how the Quran often reveals insights that later turn out to be true according to science. This makes us ponder: Shouldn’t we have faith in this divine book? The Quran emphasizes its own truthfulness, stating that it’s a revelation from the Wise, the Owner of Praise, and that falsehood cannot approach it from any side.

So, exploring the Quran’s wisdom can lead us to new understandings about the universe and our place in it. And the more we learn, the more our faith can grow.
